The Company is supported by a Medical Advisory Board (MAB) with extensive experience in the practice of transfusion medicine. All members of our MAB are clinicians with expertise in all facets of blood banking and a thorough familiarity with the risks of bacterial contamination of blood components. As active consultants to the Company, they offer Verax guidance in the areas of product design and clinical trial planning.

Dr. Jacobs is a Professor in the Department of Pathology as well as a Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

NessPaul M. Ness M.D., Johns Hopkins Hospital

Dr. Ness is the Director of Transfusion Medicine as well as a Professor of Pathology, Medicine & Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Ira ShulmanIra A. Shulman, M.D., University of Southern California

Dr. Shulman is a Professor and Vice Chair of Pathology, and Director of Transfusion Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He is also the Director of Laboratories and Pathology at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center.

Dr. Silberstein is a Professor in Pathology, Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Joint Program in Transfusion Medicine for Childrens Hospital Boston, Brigham and Womens Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
